AIMING FOR EXCELLENCE IN THE
ALUMINIUM CASTING FIELD

Pichinin was established on August 7, 1989 in the city of Mauá-SP by the economist Aquiles José Martins, with the objective to produce high quality aluminum castings. After more than 10 years in the Brazilian market, Pichinin looked for growth opportunities and associated in 2000 with ACME ALLIANCE LLC, an American aluminum casting company with international activities and with manufacturing facilities in Europe, China and the United States. Since then, the Acme group has invested heavily in Pichinin, providing an immense technological boost through access to the latest generation casting equipment. Pichinin counts on technological exchange with other companies of the Acme group, always committed for product quality. Today the company supplies aluminum castings to large corporations in Brazil and abroad, acting in various segments, such as automotive, telecommunications, gasoline distribution and electric equipment. Through continuous process improvement, Pichinin’s goal is to improve product quality and customer satisfaction in all of its market segments.

ENGINEERING, DEVELOPMENT AND
TECHNOLOGY

CONTINUES TECHNOLOGICAL UPDATE REDUCES OPERATIONAL COSTS AND IMPROVE QUALITY AND PRODUCTIVITY.

To guarantee that all standards and technical specifications are maintained, Pichinin relies on a computerized infrastructure, highly qualified employees and rigorously selected suppliers. Making use of the latest industry technology, Pichinin uses one of the best flow simulation software MAGMASOFT® – for the design and development of casting tooling, which results in extremely high performance mold construction through our in-depth understanding of aluminum flow behavior.

PROCESS CONTROL AND LABORATORY

“OUR PROCESS CONTROL GUARANTEES THAT CUSTONER´S STANDARDS ARE MET”.

The excellence of the fabrication process is assured by the Process Control Department, which guarantees that the customer’s standards are met, using latest-generation equipment, such as a CMM-CNC three-dimensional table and X-ray analysis. Our raw material is prepared according to chemical specifications supplied by our customers, controlled by spectrometer and treated with metal de-gassing equipment (FDU and SAG).

QUALITY ISO 9001

COMMITTMENT TO QUALITY IS PRESENT AT ALL PRODUCTION PROCESS PHASES.

The NBR ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System was adopted by Pichinin used by the organization to improve its global performance. Aiming for continuous quality improvement, Pichinin is now operating for more than one year following the principles of Lean Manufacturing and using its tools, such as cell based production, KAIZEN and 5S, significant and continuous positive results have been achieved.

DIE CASTING AND GRAVITY CASTING

CASTING OF ALUMINUM PARTS WITH HIGH REQUERIMENT TECHNIQUE.

Currently, Pichinin employs two aluminum alloy casting processes: Die Casting and Gravity Casting. With the latest generation machines, such as Buhler Die Casting Machines, ABB industrial robots, Westofen Dosing Furnaces, automatic spray and mold oil preheating systems, the company is ready to compete in a highly demanding technical market, satisfying the most strict quality requirements in aluminum castings.
